Carlsbad Boys and Girls Club Gets New Paint Job Thanks to Former Member
With the holiday season approaching Jim Baird got to thinking about the many great hours he spent at the Carlsbad Boys and Girls Club and decided he wanted to do something special for them for the holidays . . . as his way of saying thanks.
As it happens, Jim Baird happens to be in the painting business. It also just happened that the Carlsbad Boys and Girls Club needed a paint job, badly. Baird now had his idea of what he could do to thank the club. He donated his labor on painting the Carlsbad Boys and Girls Club.
“I practically grew up there and the club seemed to be in dire need of a paint job,” said Baird. One of his vendors, Dunn-Edwards, agreed to supply the paint at no charge, thanks to Robert Jones, who went to the VP of Sales and got the green light.
All the painting is done, except the doors, which will be completed once the rains stop.
